Samokhin A.V. Changes in the management of the Soviet Armed Forces in conditions of the new round of military-political confrontation of the USSR and the USA in the early 1950

The purpose of this article is an attempt to clarify the question of the causes of changes in the top military leadership of the Soviet Union in the period 1950–1953 years. Relevance of the issue beyond doubt in the light of further study of this aspect of international relations as a «cold war».
The article deals with the reorganization of senior military and administration of the USSR is a chronological continuation of the previous publications of the author. Scientific novelty of the article is that the author of the first attempt to study this problem.
Author on the basis of documentary evidence reasonably proves that occurred during this period of change in the military administration of the USSR, were closely linked to major changes in the international situation.
It was at this time began a new round of military-political confrontation between the USSR and the USA. Changes in the military leadership of the Soviet Union after 1950 was determined mainly by the military- political confrontation between the Soviet state and the United States. In 1950 there was a division of AIM on two ministries — Military and Naval. At the same time , establish and highest state authority of the Armed Forces of the USSR — the Supreme Military Council , Council of Ministers , headed by I.V. Stalin.
In February 1951, the Bureau was created by the military-industrial and military issues at the Council of Ministers of the USSR. In winter 1952, the Ministry of War system, a new deputy minister for armaments. In June 1952 were produced changes in the higher management of the Armed Forces, during which headquarters GSVG and GC ET led the senior military leaders of the General Staff. At the same time the system was formed bilateral agreements with Eastern European countries of the USSR , which allowed to start a close cooperation between the countries in the military sphere. Finally, in October 1952 started the Standing Committee on Defense of the Presidium of the CPSU Central Committee.
